Hawaii cake

Our church had a Hawaiian themed party. I thought what a great time to practice piping. My goal was to make a cake that looked like the pattern you would find on a Hawaiian shirt. My brother lives in Hawaii and while I was piping all these patterns I was wishing I was in Hawaii.


All four sides were piped basically the same as this. I wanted to get a little hula doll to stick on the top. Maybe one of those little bobble deals. That would have made a great topper. But alas, I ran out of time so what you see here is what it was.

This is a yellow cake with a mixture of vanilla pudding, crushed pineapple and cool whip as a filling.
