Mothers Day Rose Cake

For mother's day I had a request for 3 flavors of cake. Banana Walnut, Carrot and Lemon. She didn't want fondant, but wanted it frosted in butter cream. I thought it was time to practice some fondant roses so here's what the end product was.
I added pearls to the two side cakes, but forgot to take another picture. Here's a close up of the center cake
She didn't want fondant, she wanted butter cream. I really like working with fondant. Trying to make butter cream smooth.....well, it's just harder than fondant. But, I don't blame her. It does taste better.
