I'm trying out something new called Luster Dust. It gives a shimmer to the cake. Hard to see in this picture, but if you click on it, you can see the sparkle on the fondant. I thought it was a little difficult to get even. I used the silver luster dust and thought it almost looked like it was smudged in some places. I'm sure it will get better with a little practice.
Was this for a wedding? Or were you just bored one weekend? Not that it looks like you threw it together at all...it's amazing! It's just that sometimes you surprise us all and throw together a "little" 3 tiered cake just to try something new. :) Makes me want to go out and do something awesome, although nothing awesome comes to mind...and making a cake like this is certainly out of the realm of possibility for me. :) Nice work!
